Part of being a teacher these days, I think, is transcending the stereotype: being less like the teacher with frizzy hair, uncoordinated makeup and chipped nail polish, and being more like the one that faces each stressful day with grace and poise.
Well, I’m sure we lose our poise at some point in the classroom, but at least we dress up for the occasion! Almost all of the teachers in my school are quite fashionable, actually — it sort of catches on — so for Fashion Fridays, Eds and I photograph a few of them as well.

Angel (whom we all call Moore) has been a fashionista ever since I first met her. I rarely see her wearing the same combination twice — she’s such an expert! Her pink top softens the rest of her black ensemble.

I have this knitted thigh-length jacket of sorts which I bought for cheap at the tiangge. I bought the other pieces during mall-wide sales. (The belt was 50% off in Terranova when I purchased it!) I borrowed the shoes from Czhar. 😀

This fashionable Chemistry teacher and I discovered our girly side almost the same time, and when we happen to be shopping together, she helps me choose my clothes. 🙂 Those Stacatto heels, while really high, are quite comfortable.

Being a dancer, Edison also sort of choreographs our poses. He calls this his “douchebag outfit.” I don’t know why. Also, we’re not allowed to wear jeans, so here he’s actually wearing a khaki sort of trousers in electric blue. When asked about the brand of his shoes, he deadpanned, “Lacoste.” We just side-eyed him. 🙂
